Aurora Tigers defenceman David Iacono (photo credit - Shawn Muir/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the Sacred Heart University Pioneers beginning with the 2013-14 Atlantic Hockey season.

The 19-year old Newmarket, Ontario native joined the Tigers this season after spending last year with Nanaimo in the BCHL.  Iacono had previously played the 2010-11 season with the Markham Waxers, registering 15 points in 37 games played during his rookie campaign.  Thus far this season with the Tigers, Iacono has been a stabilizing force on the back-end, picking up 12 points in 18 games played which already sits third on the club among rearguards, while helping Aurora capture its first North Division regular season title since 2006-07.
