3 OJHLers RANKED BY NHL CENTRAL SCOUTING

Jackson Bales, Will Reilly & Dawson Theede were all listed on the most recent NHL Central Scouting Preliminary Players to Watch List for the 2015 NHL Draft that will be held in Nashville, Tennessee.

NHL Central Scouting releases this list every November and ranks every players as an A (1st round candidate), B (2nd/3rd round candidate) or C (4th/5th/6th round candidate) based on their potential.

Jackson Bales - Oakville Blades ('C' skater)

The Oakville, Ontario native got his first taste of OJHL action last season with the Blades, playing eight games as an affiliated midget from the Oakville Rangers.  Bales had previously played his minor midget season with the Brampton 45's before returning home and was selected that summer (2013) by the Saginaw Spirit in the 8th round, 143rd overall, in the OHL Priority Selection.The 17-year old currently sits fourth in scoring on the Blades with 5 goals and 18 points in 23 games played.

Will Reilly - North York Rangers ('C' skater)

The Toronto, Ontario native played his minor midget season in 2012-13 as a member of the Toronto Red Wings organization, including a trip to the prestigious OHL Cup tournament.  The defenceman joined Upper Canada College last season and played his first OJHL games as an affiliate with the with Oakville Blades.  Reilly joined the North York Rangers fulltime this season and has not disappointed, currently lead the club's defenders in scoring with 18 points in 22 regular season contests, tied for 10th overall among the league's blueliners.

Dawson Theede - Cobourg Cougars ('C' skater)

The surprise amongst the group is Cobourg Cougars 17-year old forward Dawson Theede.  The Whitby, Ontario native played the past two seasons in his hometown Whitby Wildcats organization before making the jump to the OJHL fulltime this season.  The power forward has 9 points in 23 games thus far this season and has shown an ability to be a physical force, also registering 50 penalty minutes.
