Kingston Voyageurs netminder Matt Penta (photo credit - Tim Bates/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the Army (United States Military Academy) Black Knights, beginning with the 2015-16 Atlantic Hockey season.

Growing up as a multi-sport athlete in Waltham, Massachusetts, just a short 15 minute drive from the TD Banknorth Garden, home of the Boston Bruins, Matt Penta has excelled at his chosen sport of hockey.  The lanky 6'3" netminder made the move to Canada this year after spending last year with the nearby Valley Jr. Warriers of the EHL, and the previous three seasons with the Boston Jr. Bruins organization.

Thus far this season, Penta has more than impressed in his first OJHL season as a 20-year old, posting a 13-7-2 record with three shutouts, a 2.62 goals against average and .911 save percentage as he looks to lead the defending regular season champions back into the mix in the always competitive East Division.

Congratulations to Matt and best of luck as he closes out his junior career!
