Whitby Fury alternate captain Jeremy Wu (photo credit - Timothy T. Ludwig/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the Mercyhurst University Lakers beginning with the 2015-16 Atlantic Hockey season.

The Pickering, Ontario native is in his second full season with the Fury after spending the 2012-13 season at Northwood Prep School in Lake Placid, New York.  The Ajax/Pickering Raiders graduate made the jump to the OJHL last season as an 18-year old and recorded 12 points on a very strong Fury blueline, while also getting his first taste of junior post-season action.  One of the club's leaders this season, Wu got off to a hot start with a 12 game point scoring streak that saw him notch 20 points to not only lead all OJHL defenceman, but also be among the league's top scorers.  While his scoring has cooled slightly since then, Wu still leads all rearguards with 23 assists and 29 points thus far.  His play earned a spot on Team Nieuwendyk that finished as runner-up at the 2014 Central Canada Cup All-Star Challenge held in Toronto.

Congratulations to Jeremy on the achievement and best of luck the rest of the season!
