Whitby falls to Toronto Patriots in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

Connor Beck gave the Toronto Patriots Patriots a 3-2 (OT) victory over the Whitby Fury when he scored 3:33 into the extra period.

Toronto Patriots overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Patriots fell behind 2-0 after a goal by Whitby's Dakota Kettrick at 3:45 in the first period. Toronto Patriots tied things up at 2-2 on a goal by Nicholas Ursitti at 6:48 in the third period.

Beck had a great game for the Patriots, netting two goals.

Toronto Patriots forced the Fury goalie Tyler Feaver to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots.

In addition, Toronto Patriots received assists from Tyler Currie, Brett Markham, and Niko Kovachis, who each chipped in one.

Whitby's offense operated below its season average. The Fury average 4.1 goals per game. The Patriots were unable to stop Whitby from sending pucks towards the net, and the Fury eventually piled up 31 shots on goal.

Whitby also got a goal from Matt Fischer as well. Other players who recorded assists for Whitby were Luke Keenan, Henry Thompson, Scott Kirton, and Kevin Dimagno, who contributed one each.

Emanuel Vella recorded 29 saves for Toronto Patriots. The Patriots ended with no penalties and went 0-for-2 on the power play. Whitby's Feaver stopped 32 shots out of the 35 that he faced. The Fury incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors and had no power play opportunities.
