Whitby downs Orangeville, 5-2

Luke Keenan registered one point to lead the Whitby Fury to a 5-2 victory over the Orangeville Flyers.

Whitby additionally got points from Kevin Dimagno, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points, Davis Kuksis, who also tallied one goal and one assist, and Nik Coric, who also had one goal and one assist. Whitby also got a goal from Jonathan OHara as well. Other players who recorded assists for Whitby were Jeremy Wu, who had two and Matt Fischer, Stefan von Engelbrechten, Scott Kirton, and Zach Viminitz, who each chipped in one.

Orangeville was led by Lucas Smilsky, who registered one goal and one assist. Smilsky scored on the power play 11:01 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Whitby. Chris Maione assisted on the tally. Ian Nichols also scored for Orangeville. In addition, Orangeville received assists from John DiLorenzo and James McLaughlin, who contributed one each.

Whitby's Tyler Feaver stopped 27 shots out of the 29 that he faced. The Fury incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. For Whitby, Dakota Kettrick was ejected from the game. Wyatt Pickrell rejected 25 shots on goal for the Flyers. Orangeville incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
