The Ontario Junior Hockey League tonight announced that Mathew Robson (photo credit - Tim Bates/OJHL Images) of the Toronto Patriots has been named the 2014-15 winner of the Brent Ladds Trophy as the Playoff Most Valuable Player.

Robson was the OJHL's top goaltender throughout the entire 2014-15 OJHL playoffs, leading all netminders in most statistical categories, a spectacular 1.77 goals against average in 22 games played.

The 19-year old native of Mississauga, Ontario joined the Patriots this season after previously playing for the Lindsay Muskies.  Robson was a difference maker for the Patriots throughout the club's post-season run in capturing a second consecutive OJHL title.  He also led all netminders with 16 wins, 1,287:57 minutes played, a .936 save percentage and three shutouts.

The Brent Ladds Trophy was officially dedicated on June 16, 2012 during the General Assembly of the Ontario Hockey Association (OHA) Annual General Meeting in Windsor, Ontario, upon Ladds official retirement following 36 years of service to OHA Hockey.

Toronto captured the OJHL Championship and the Frank L. Buckland Trophy for the second consecutive year with a seven game series victory over Kingston and will now represent the Ontario Junior Hockey League at the 2015 Dudley-Hewitt Cup being held from April 28 to May 2 in Fort Frances, Ontario.  The Patriots open the tournament at 7:30pm on April 28 versus the host Fort Frances Lakers of the SIJHL.
