ALLAN COMMITS TO SACRED HEART
Trenton Golden Hawks defenceman Josh Allan (photo credit - Ed McPherson/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the Sacred Heart University Pioneers beginning with the 2017-18 Atlantic Hockey season.
The 18-year old Severn Bridge, Ontario native joined the Hawks this season after steadily working his way up the OHA's junior chain. A product of the Central Ontario Wolves Minor Midget 'AAA' organization, Allan first joined the Junior 'C' Orillia Terriers in 2013-14, before moving on to the GOJHL's Welland Canadians Junior 'B' squad last season, where he was the club's top-scoring rearguard.
Allan made a significant impact on the Golden Hawks blueline in just 33 regular season games played, registering 19 points, including 11 points with the man advantage, to finish fourth on the club's d-corps in scoring despite the limited number of games. Thus far during three post-season rounds, he is the club's leading pointman and sits seventh in overall scoring with 10 points in 13 games played, including matching his regular season total with four goals.
Congratulations to Josh on the achievement and best of luck in the league championship series!
