Hamilton Red Wings forward Dalton Jay (pictured with Burlington Cougars, 2011-12 - photo credit:  Izak Westgate/HHOF) has confirmed his commitment to join the Westfield State University Owls beginning with the 2012-13 MASCAC season.

The 5'10", 190 lbs. native of Hamilton, Ontario joined the Red Wings midway through the 2011-12 season after spending time with both the Burlington Cougars and Trenton Golden Hawks organizations.  Jay entered the OJHL as an 18-year old rookie with the Newmarket Hurricanes in 2009/10, helping the club capture the CCHL championship after recording 29 points during the regular season.  The following year he moved closer to home, joining the Cougars and was a key member of the West Division champions regular season run, notching 46 points in 50 games played.  This year, despite the two trades, Jay would record a career-high 22 goals while finishing out his OJHL tenure with the Red Wings.

Congratulations to Dalton and best of luck as he enters the next phase of his hoceky and academic career!
