Toronto Junior Canadiens alternate captain Greg Whittle (photo credit - Brian Watts/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the Elmira College Soaring Eagles beginning with the 2012-13 ECAC-West season.

The 6'3", 185 lbs. native of Owen Sound, Ontario, recently completed his fifth season in the OJHL after beginning his junior career with the Collingwood Blues as a 16-year old in 2007-08.  The following year was split between the Markham Waxers and Stouffville Spirit before playing the entire 2009-10 season in Stouffville and finishing as the club's third leading scorer with 29 points in 48 games played.  He would join the Junior Canadiens last year, notching 20 points in 29 games played before a trade to the Huntsville Otters who were hosting the Dudley Hewitt Cup.  Returning to Toronto this season, Whittle finished third in scoring on the club with 16 goals and 38 points to finish out his junior career.

Congratulations to Greg and best of luck at Elmira!
