January 17, 2017, Mississauga, ON – The OJHL kicks off the first ever OJHL Winter Showcase starting Monday January 23, 2017 in Trenton, Ontario showcasing it’s players to the hockey world from Monday January 23 to Wednesday January 25, 2017.

This marks the first year that the OJHL has hosted a Winter Showcase with all 22 of its member clubs.  “We wanted to provide a platform to showcase our players this time of the season for scouts to have another opportunity to watch all of our teams in one location before the end of the season”, stated OJHL Commissioner, Marty Savoy.

The OJHL Winter Showcase follows the same format as the annual OJHL Governors Showcase were all 22 teams will play two games over the three days that count towards league play.

“With our organization hosting the 2017 Dudley Hewitt Cup we felt that stepping up and hosting the first ever OJHL Winter Showcase would not only help promote the Central Canadian Junior A Championship but also help showcase all the players on our 22 teams”, said John McDonald, Trenton Golden Hawks Director of Business Development Chairman”.

Single day or full event packages can be purchased at the Duncan Memorial Arena box office or online at: https://tickets.trentongoldenhawks.ca/events/5349-winter-showcase-tournament-pass
