During the 2011-12 season, Andrew Poturalski was a star with the Ontario Junior Hockey League's Buffalo Jr. Sabres.

Poturalski finished third in team scoring with 38 points (16G/22A) despite playing just 33 of the club's 49 games. Poturalski joined the Jr. Sabres that season for his 17-year-old season after playing three seasons at Nichols School (CISAA).

Today, Poturalski is one of the American Hockey League's top players. He currently leads the league in points by a six-point margin. Through 42 games with the San Diego Gulls (Anaheim Ducks affiliate), the Williamsville, N.Y. native has nine goals and a league-leading 32 assists for 41 points. The Ducks have two regular-season games remaining.

Poturalski signed his current contract, a one-year, two-way deal with the Ducks on Oct. 9, 2020, which carries an Annual Average Value of $700,000. This is his second season with the Gulls, but he was limited to 17 games in 2019-20.

He played his previous professional seasons with the Charlotte Checkers, who are the Carolina Hurricanes affiliate.

Poturalski signed as an undrafted free agent with the Hurricanes organization  in 2016 after two seasons of NCAA D1 hockey at the University of New Hampshire. The 27-year-old forward posted 81 points (36G/45A) in 77 games in the NCAA.

Poturalski made his NHL debut with the Hurricanes on April 4, 2017 against the Minnesota Wild.

Other former OJHL players on the San Diego roster include: Trevor Carrick (Stouffville), Hunter Drew (Kingston), Jamie Devane (Vaughan), Maxim Golod (Markham) and Matt Lorito (Villanova).
