The Woodbridge, Ontario native got his OJHL start, playing a single game with his hometown Vaughan Vipers in 2009-10 as an affiliated midget from the Vaughan Kings Midget 'AAA' program. The following year, the 17-year old made the full-time jump, joining the Upper Canada Patriots, where he would record one assist in 23 games played. Vallescuro was moved back to the Vipers for 2011-12 and would play a big role on the club, notching 10 goals and 34 points in 48 regular season games played. With the Vipers suspending operations following the season, it was back to the Patriots, now named Toronto Lakeshore. This past year Vallescuro once again record 10 goals, while chipping in with 25 assists to finish eighth in scoring on the club.
"We are very happy to announce the Mike Vallescuro has committed to Curry College for 2013," said Patriots General Manager Mike Tarantino. "We feel that Curry is getting a very skilled forward who will excel in the NCAA. We would like to wish Mike V. and Mike A. all the best as they continue their hockey and academic careers."
Congratulations to Mike on the commitment and best of luck at the next level!
