BROWN SELECTED BY FLORIDA
Former Whitby Fury defenceman, now with the Oshawa Generals, Josh Brown (photo credit - Terry Wilson/OHL Images) was selected by the Florida Panthers in the 6th round, 152nd overall, of the 2013 NHL Draft.
The native of London, Ontario joined the Fury as a 16-year old rookie in 2010-11 after being selected by the Oshawa Generals in the 3rd round, 44th overall, of the 2010 OHL Priority Selection. He would record 10 points in 35 regular season games played, while playing a physical game, recording 59 penalty minutes. Brown went on to play two seasons in the OHL with the Oshawa Generals before being picked by Florida.
