EASTERN CANADA CUP ALL-STAR CHALLENGE

Created as a competitive alternative to the annual league All-Star Game, the Central Canada Cup All-Star Challenge debuted in 2011, hosted by the CCHL's Smith Falls Bears.

The uniquely formatted tournament saw games played with two 20 minute halves and pitted the CJHL's centrally located Junior 'A' loops (CCHL, NOJHL, OJHL, LHJAAAQ).

The LHJAAAQ would win the inaugural event, defeating the OJHL North Division All-Stars 5-1 in the championship game. 

Year two saw the host OJHL East Division All-Stars take home the championship with a thrilling 1-0 shootout victory over the CCHL Yzerman Division in Wellington, Ontario.

Year three saw another competitive competition with the host QJAAAHL Team St-Louis-Lalime take the league's second championship with a 4-2 victory over the OJHL's South-West Conference in Terrebonne, Quebec.

The fourth annual event was moved up in the calendar to November 14-16, 2014 and was hosted for the second time by the OJHL at the MasterCard Centre in Etobicoke, Ontario.  Team OJHL Oates downed Team OJHL Nieuwendyk 4-0 in the championship game to claim the OJHL's second title in four years.

Renamed the Eastern Canada Cup All-Star Challenge for 2015, the event now also includes the Maritime Hockey League (MHL) and will be hosted for a fifth time by the OJHL  and second in Quinte West, Ontario from November 19-21, 2018.  This years event has grown to 12 teams which include 2 teams from each the MHL, QJAAAHL, CCHL and NOJHL and 4 teams from the OJHL.
