For the purposes of playoff rankings, the four divisions will be split into two conferences:
- North & West Divisions will play as the North-West Conference
- South & East Divisions will play as the South-East Conference
Series ‘A’:
• Qualification Round series to be completed between February 14-18, 2011
• Top three teams in each Division to receive a bye
• Remaining four best teams, ranked by winning percentage, in each conference (North-West & South-East)
• Play a Best-of-Three series
• The top two teams, ranked by winning percentage, to receive home-ice advantage in Series ‘A’
For Example:
A1: Highest Winning % Team vs. Lowest Winning % Team
A2: 2nd Highest Winning % Team vs. 2nd Lowest Winning % Team
Series ‘B’:
• Round One series to be completed between Februrary 19 – March 4, 2011
• The two Series ‘A’ winning teams are re-seeded, with all six teams that received a bye, based on winning percentage (ie. Series ‘A’ winning team could have a better winning percentage than a team that received a bye, and have a higher seeding)
• The top team in each Division are ranked #1 and #2 in the Conference, based on winning percentage
• The remaining six teams are ranked #3 to #8 in the Conference, based on winning percentage
• Play a Best-of-Seven series
For Example:
B1: Highest Winning % Division Winner vs. 8th ranked in Conference
B2: 2nd Highest Winning % Division Winner vs. 7th ranked in Conference
B3: 3rd Highest Winning % vs. 6th Highest Winning Percentage
B4: 4th Highest Winning % vs. 5th Highest Winning Percentage
Series ‘C’:
• Round Two series to be completed between March 5-March 18, 2011
• Division winners keep the #1 and #2 rankings if they advance past Series ‘B’
• Teams remained ranked based on winning percentage
• Play a Best-of-Seven series
For Example:
C1: Highest Seed vs. Lowest Seed
C2: 2nd Highest Seed vs. 3rd Highest Seed
Series ‘D’:
• Round Three series to be completed between March 19 – April 1, 2011
• Cross-over round.
• Highest remaining seed from one conference to play lowest remaining seed from other conference
• Play a Best-of-Seven series
OJHL Championship Series:
• OJHL Championship Series to be completed between April 2-16, 2011
• Winner of each series to play with highest winning percentage receiving home ice
• Play a Best-of-Seven series
